



ARE APPOINTMENTS CONFIDENTIAL?
Absolutely (most of the time!)
Your privacy is paramount, and Kt Therapy is committed to providing a confidential service. For full transparency, the following are details of when our confidentiality agreement may need to be extended to include an appropriate third party.
I am required to attend monthly supervision as part of good practice. Within supervision, I may discuss our work; however, my supervisor is bound to the same confidentiality agreement as you and I. Furthermore, no identifiable information is disclosed in supervision.
I am legally obligated to break confidentiality if any disclosures are made in relation to money laundering, drug trafficking, and/or terrorism. Any concerns will be reported to an appropriate third party.
If I have reason to believe that some type of serious harm was going to come to you or another you have discussed, our confidentiality agreement may need to be extended to protect your (or another’s) safety. Prior to taking any action, I would ideally like to discuss my concerns with you beforehand.

ARE APPOINTMENTS PRIVATE?
Kt Therapy operates solely online or over the telephone. The technology cannot be guaranteed 100% secure as some platforms depend on third-party providers. Kt Therapy is committed to keeping up with technological advances to protect your privacy.
I work from a space where I take appropriate measures to ensure the environment is private and secure and I always wear headphones to further protect your privacy. The services offered are on a one-to-one basis so I do ask that you are somewhere private also.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE FIRST APPOINTMENT?
You will receive a ‘Digital Pack’ via *WriteUpp to complete before your first appointment. This includes a Therapy Agreement, Kt Therapy Ltd.’s Privacy Notice, and an Information Request document to digitally complete.
The first appointment is a little different to all others as I will ask more questions than usual to help me gain a better understanding of your therapy needs. We will then explore your therapeutic hopes and goals in more detail. This process is important as it will highlight what you would like to achieve within our time together and will give a platform to check in on to ensure the service continues to suit your needs.
*WriteUpp is a secure and encrypted platform that adheres to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, 2018).

FREQUENCY
Appointments usually happen weekly – same day and time to provide structure. However, I work extremely flexibly to accommodate individual preferences to work appointments around both of our commitments. If flexible appointments sound ideal please let me know, and we can discuss how this can be accommodated.

HOW MANY APPOINTMENTS WILL I NEED?
The amount of appointments people require is very individualistic. That means the number you would like will be up to you. Short-term therapy is considered to last between 6-8 sessions, but you may want more or less than this. If our work continues to move forward this will be mutually agreed upon within regular reviews. Reviews give us space to explore changes that may have occurred for you, identify helpful/unhelpful aspects of our therapeutic relationship and touch base with your therapy goals.

INVOICING & PAYMENTS
If you decide to engage in Kt Therapy Ltd.’s services, you will be emailed an invoice once all paperwork has been received. Payment is required any time in advance of your appointment day and time and Kt Therapy accepts payment via Bank Transfer. Any future appointment invoices will be issued and sent on the Friday following a booking.
Further information will be provided in your ‘Digital Welcome Pack’.
Although KT Therapy Ltd periodically reviews its therapy fees, the original cost per appointment will remain the same for current and existing individuals.
*Please note that this does not apply to the student discounted rate and the full rate will be applicable once qualified.

CANCELLATIONS, RESCHEDULING, & REFUNDS
As I reserve a specific time for you, if you would like to cancel or reschedule an appointment you must do this with at least 24 hours’ notice of your reserved time. For example, you must cancel or reschedule your appointment prior to Monday at 10.00 a.m. if you have an appointment booked for a Tuesday at 10.00 a.m. You can cancel or reschedule by emailing connect@kttherapy.co.uk or texting 07518 946 608
Where 24 hours’ notice is given, you can transfer your payment to the following appointment or request a refund by emailing connect@kttherapy.co.uk
If 24 hours’ notice is not given for cancellations or rescheduling, you will be responsible for the full cost of your appointment.
