what is Therapy?
Therapy is a safe space to unpack your emotional and mental filing cabinet. It’s bringing out the content of your choice, then through more meaningful conversations working through and reorganising these in your own way so that a sense of calm can come to that what may feel chaotic. Research has shown that speaking about things that are troubling us provides an emotional release and can alleviate stress.
I provide a down to earth and relaxed therapy service where I strive to create and maintain an atmosphere of safety, trust, and openness. This means that all attitudes, beliefs, values, and behaviours can be freely explored and discussed with empathic understanding and warmth.
The therapy process explores deeply personal material so it’s important that you feel comfortable and find the right therapist for you. You are more than welcome to email me with any questions you may have or to request a free (no obligation) 15-minute chat prior to booking an appointment. This supports me in gaining an understanding of your therapy needs and helps us to gain a sense of if it feels right for us to work together.

Our time together
I’m going to be straight with you – therapy can be bl**dy tough! From the moment we come together, we become a team working together towards achieving your therapeutic goals. I respect your autonomy and strongly believe that you and you alone, are the only expert on yourself. In response to this, I work to your agenda, not my own, and encompass a collaborative, non-authoritative approach. I aspire for you to feel safe, supported and empowered – whilst also challenged enough to gain new insight.
Here are a few examples of the areas in which therapy can support you with:
– Sadness, depression and anxiety
– Feeling stuck, unhappy and wanting to make changes in your life
– Low self-esteem and self-confidence
– A difficult life transition
– Death, dying, and bereavement
KINTSUgi: EXPLORATION. HEALING. TRANSFORMATION.
Kintsugi is a Japanese art form that repairs pottery with gold. Founded upon the idea that through embracing flaws and imperfections, a more beautiful and stronger piece of art is formed.
Kintsugi applies to those parts of ourselves that we think are ‘broken’. I understand that in fragility it can feel like that. You are human, not broken.
To me, kintsugi means a process or path towards healing and wholeness. An expedition of cultivating an even better version of ourselves (before the world and our experiences began to change us.)
